TOWN OF POLK 鈥 Cedar Springs Ranch, 3128 Slinger Road, announced recently that it will be holding its second annual Ranch Day Fundraiser from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Saturday.
According to Cedar Springs Ranch, the fundraiser supports its therapeutic horsemanship program and other animal-assisted services for its participants, including building a new outdoor arena area and for ongoing support of the ranch鈥檚 equine partners.
鈥淥ur mission is to offer opportunities for improving balance, well-being, quality of life, trust and self-esteem through engaging activities that involve the whole body and mind,鈥 said Executive Director Kelly Balsewicz, in a donor letter about the fundraiser. 鈥淭hrough their perseverance, our participants inspire instructors, volunteers, families and communities to embrace inclusivity and recognize the value of providing enriching experiences for individuals with disabilities. We firmly believe in creating a world where everyone can participate, learn and grow, regardless of physical, cognitive, emotional or spiritual abilities.
鈥淭he funds raised are essential for covering the expenses associated with the animals and facilitating meaningful experiences for individuals with physical, cognitive, emotional and spiritual special needs.鈥
During Cedar Springs Ranch鈥檚 Ranch Day Fundraiser, attendees will be able to participate in a wide variety of activities, including trail walks, horse rides and other animal interactions, face painting, games, listen to live music, get a henna tattoo and bid on silent auction items. There will also be food and beverages available.
