THIENSVILLE 鈥 The body of a man that went missing in the Milwaukee River on Wednesday evening was recovered by search teams in the river on Friday, according to Capt. Joel Deutsch听with the Southern Ozaukee Fire Department.

Personnel from the Wisconsin DNR and the Southern Ozaukee Fire Department continued search efforts on Thursday and Friday.听

The body was recovered with the assistance of the Cedarburg Fire Department and the Thiensville Police Department and transported by the Ozaukee County Medical Examiner's Office to the Milwaukee County Medical Examiner's Office for an autopsy.

The identity of the victim has not been made public.

The Southern Ozaukee Fire Department advises the public to use caution around bodies of water, especially when water levels are high because the speed of the water increases, and so do the dangerous conditions.
