The SMÌìµØÂÛ̳ Freeman
The Freeman has been a trusted tradition in SMÌìµØÂÛ̳ County since 1859.
The print edition of the Freeman is delivered to residents of SMÌìµØÂÛ̳ County five days a week, Tuesday-Saturday.
We are very proud of The Freeman's rich history. The newspaper is called "The Freeman" because it was founded in 1859 by abolitionists to give voice to the anti-slavery movement. Later, the paper was a strong advocate for women's right-to-vote and in the 1950s the paper's efforts helped define open records law in Wisconsin.
We cherish our heritage. At the same time, we are excited about the future and our important role in serving the community. Our talented and hard-working staff carries on the paper's legacy by providing local news and information you can trust.
All subscribers also get access to the e-edition of the paper, full access to all of the day's news at gmtoday.com AND access anytime on the go with The Freeman mobile app.
You can also get the news delivered directly to your inbox with our email newsletter.
