NEW BERLIN — A third female, a 17-year-old, has died following a July 28 crash that killed two other females. The fourth female remains in critical condition. The Muskego Police Department said the New Berlin Police Department is handling the death investigations, and the Wisconsin State Patrol is handling the crash investigation/crash reconstruction.

Due to some of the females being juveniles, the police department will not be releasing names, said Muskego Police Lt. Steve Johannik.

The Muskego Police Department attempted a traffic stop on a car with four females inside due to suspicious behavior in the vicinity of Idle Isle Park in Muskego around 10:30 p.m. on July 28. The vehicle sped northbound on Martin Drive and into New Berlin, eventually crashing near the intersection of West National Avenue and South Martin Road, the Muskego Police Department said in a release.

One person died at the scene. The New Berlin Fire Department responded and transported three people to a hospital trauma center. Another female later succumbed to her injuries, the police department said.

A 19-year-old female driver from East Troy and a 17-year-old female from Greenfield also died in the crash. A 16-year-old female from Milwaukee is in critical condition
